A downloadable game for Windows

ULTIMATE DETECTIVE SIMULATOR

  • Welcome to Vespiella, a nation with over 300 people. Everyone has their own home, their own job, and their own life. They go out and party, then they have some pizza, and maybe they buy a weapon. Or two.
  • One of these citizens is a serial killer. They look just like everyone else, and will hide in plain sight. Every once in a while, they will kill someone, leaving a crime scene for you.
  • You have a variety of evidence at your disposal. Review camera footage to see who was in the area at the time of the death. Take fingerprints to match them with those on the murder weapon. And more!
  • Once you've found the killer, break down their plan in a badass explanation montage like the detective you are.

An update to this game was made after submitting to the jam which fixed several critical errors (the clock wasn't showing up, making it impossible to investigate, and players could "win" without actually beating the game)

basically shadows of doubt concept but different style and free, love it, but it still needs a lot to work on, the biggest thing is navigation i don't see why not just make wasd movement the second is murderers behavior and the third is the clues i felt like there is not enough of variability

and the final thing why we cant access suspect personal info like the place of work and their house the character works for the government why they cant give him this info

oh and also almost forgot the cameras system needs to be reworked the npc movement make so they walk and the time system like i understand if none of this will ever make it into the game i just think the realtime interactions woud work better then the time system that you did also why we cant talk with npc (the supervisor is annoying) like this could have been interesting to ask about the suspects from a random passing by npc

oh and also the menu tis bad

Thanks for the feedback. I made this in only 2 weeks so wasn't able to finish it, and there are a lot of things I would have done differently now. Who knows, maybe one day?
